Asahi and Homebass Communications are proud to present Dubway the artwork of T. Puchpen

You’ve seen the crazy graphics on every months Dubway flyer and now by popular demand we finally have the chance to showcase the brilliant artwork of Thailand’s most gifted up and coming Graphic artist T.Puchpen. Having collaborated with everyone from Carabao, to NYC’s You Work For Them design studios T. Puchpen’s work is in a league of its own. This show will include T.Puchpen’s work for Dubway and will also include personal works from the artist’s studio.

The show will open 6pm on June 12 at Art Gorilla’s gallery in Siam Square. There will be live Painting by T.Puchpen and Homebass Graffiti artist Pakorn, video installations by Makok and sounds provided by Daddy P-lo, Space 360 and DJ Hiroo (Ghost town dub). The exhibition will also be held at the prestigious VIC Hua Hin on July 31. Watch this space for more updates.

After the exhibition there will be a after party at Café Democ with DJ’s Jo Stitch, Dragon and DJ Tooru from Japan.

:: JON SHINA BIO ::

Jon Shina Runs the Gambit. With his heart and mind in Electronics and Breaks, a body and soul in 77 Punk and Lo Fi recordings, and with blood flowing with Folk and Psych, Jon Shina embodies it all! His debut album “Finally, Hello” showcases many genres with originality and earnest, where each song on the album sounds different from the next. The multi instrumentalist plays many different live instruments, beat machines, samplers, computer programming, and even turntables to produce the sounds and melodies that make up his album and live shows.

An Iraqi American originally hailing From Boston, Jon Shina now resides in Brooklyn, where he kicked off his solo career with a live show at "Death By Audio" in December 2007. Since then, He has released a full length album, has toured both coasts (in US), and is touring China in Spring of 2010. His Music has been featured on episodes of VBS.tv, Media Minutes, and various other DIY shows and videos. He is currently working on another full length album and 7", both to be released in late 2010.//

the 4th DUBWAY session for 2010.

Homebass Communications and DUBWAY are proud to present for the first time ever in Bangkok DJ Drunk Monk and MC Cha Cha (The shelter Shanghai). The duo are responsible for holding down on of the dopest clubs in Shanghai- known at the Shelter this converted world war II bunker has hosted some of the biggest club nights in Shanghai. Guests such as Goth Trad, Roni Size, DJ Zinc, DJ Distance and Goldie have been guests at Shelter. On the production side of things MC Cha Cha has just recently recorded tracks with Hyperdub's Space ape and the Reggae legend Clive Chin. Come check out the originators of the Shanghai's first ever reggae sound system Uprooted sunshine. The duo will be performing a dubstep set at DUBWAY on April 30.
